Emmerdale history[]
- 1988 - Tom Merrick leaves the village.
- 1994 - Alan Turner and Shirley Foster marry. Jack Sugden proposes to Sarah Connolly. Frank Tate discovers his son will never be able to walk again.
- 1998 - A man knocks Zak Dingle unconscious. Lord Alex Oakwell returns to the village and takes Steve Marchant, Biff Fowler and Ned Glover hostage. One of his henchmen tries to shoot Zak Dingle but Paddy Kirk injects him with a needle full of anesthetic.
- 2009 - Jack Sugden's funeral takes place. His son Robert also returns but watches the funeral from afar.
- 2010 - Thomas and Anya King are admitted to hospital after developing rashes on their skin.
- 2012 - Val Pollard leaves the village to stay in Portugal.
- 2014 - Moira Barton proposes to Cain Dingle.
- 2020 - Pete Barton leaves the village for a fresh start in Liverpool.
