Emmerdale history[]
- 1980 - Joe Sugden is struck by a van driven by Tom Merrick and Derek Warner when he tries to block their way after they steal trees from Home Farm. Tom and Derek flee the scene after finding Joe unconscious, and Derek secretly leaves the village.
- 1982 - The missing Amos Brearly is found by the Fell Rescue Team.
- 1993 - Walter Eagleton dies from unknown causes. His body would not be found until 21st December.
- 1998 - First appearance of Stella Jones.
- 1999 - The Emmerdale Christmas Show takes place.
- 2002 - Angie Reynolds' funeral takes place. Her son Marc leaves the village afterwards. Jason Kirk returns to the village and offers Latisha Daggert and her family jobs.
- 2004 - Bob Hope leaves his wife, Viv, following a big row.
- 2008 - A massive fight breaks out between Matthew King and his brother Carl on Matthew's wedding day to Anna De Souza. The day ends in tragedy when Matthew dies after colliding his van with a wall and being catapulted out of the windshield when trying to run Carl down.
- 2010 - Jacob Gallagher runs away, believing he's the reason his family is arguing.
- 2014 - Adam Barton is released from prison but is tagged for three months.
