- 1976 - Fred Farrar is arrested for poaching.
- 1982 - Jack Sugden and Tom Merrick fight over Jackie Merrick's paternity.
- 1995 - Angharad and Bernard McAllister leave the village after becoming increasingly fed up of the family's feud with the Dingles.
- 2000 - Kelly Windsor tells Lyn Hutchinson of her affair with Scott Windsor. Lyn breaks up with Scott before leaving the village.
- 2002 - Liv Flaherty is Born to Sandra Flaherty
- 2003 - Terry Woods returns from his holiday with a young woman in tow. Bob Hope is shocked to discover that the young woman is his daughter Dawn.
- 2006 - Marlon Dingle marries Donna Windsor and Donna's mother Viv remarries Bob Hope. At the reception in the Woolpack, Bob's son Jamie arrives by punching him, leaving Viv's son Scott Windsor to return the favour.
- 2009 - Will Wylde, the youngest child of Mark and Natasha Wylde, arrives in the village after spending time at boarding school.
- 2011 - Katie Sugden is held hostage by Nick Henshall. She also realises that he robbed their house and started the fire that killed Viv Hope and Terry Woods.
- 2012 - On their way to a hotel after reconciling, John and Moira Barton are involved in a car accident when the car skids on black ice and flips down a cliff. The car stops halfway, and Moira is rescued by Declan Macey and Katie Sugden. As they go to save John, the car falls down the rest of the cliff. John is later pulled from the car but dies from a cardiac arrest in hospital.
- 2018 - Sandy Thomas leaves the village with friend Maisie to live in Australia with Betty Eagleton.
- 2022 - Vinny Dingle proposes to Liv Flaherty, who accepts. Liam Cavanagh shoves Meena Jutla off the same bridge where she killed his daughter, Leanna Cavanagh
