Emmerdale history[]
- 1972 - Jacob Sugden's funeral. His son Jack returns to Emmerdale Farm for the first time since 1964.
- 1973 - Jack Sugden leaves Beckindale, exactly one year on from returning.
- 1984 - Tom Merrick's trial takes place. He receives a prison sentence.
- 1997 - Linda Fowler is involved in a car accident caused by Lord Alex Oakwell. Steve Marchant and Kim Tate's engagement party takes place.
- 2002 - Marlon Dingle's stag night. His cousin Chas is the stripper at the party. A drunk Marlon Dingle kisses future mother-in-law Steph Stokes, mistaking her for Steph's daughter Tricia.
- 2003 - Chris Tate's funeral takes place. Zak Dingle returns from Chile. Dawn Woods goes into labour.
- 2007 - The Sugden's cottage is engulfed in flames after Victoria Sugden soaks the place in petrol, ignited after a tap was turned on.
- 2012 - Debbie Dingle and Gennie Walker go into labour. Carl and Jimmy King fight after Jimmy discovers Carl sold half of their business.
- 2013 - Cameron Murray holds various villagers, including Debbie and Chas, and Debbie's grandfather Zak Dingle in the Woolpack. As Zak tries to wrestle the shotgun out of Cameron's hands, Alicia Harding is shot in the stomach. Soon enough, the villagers aside from Debbie and Chas Dingle are let out.
- 2014 - In the show's 7000th episode, an argument with Sam Dingle causes Jai Sharma to fall over a bannister and plummet to the bottom of the staircase at his house. Jai tells him where Charity Dingle is being kept and Sam goes to free her but changes his mind and leaves her.
