November - Maggie Sugden falls down a ghyll but is rescued by Hugo Dawson.
November - The Woolpack is set alight by Levi Dingle. Maggie Sugden and Hugo Dawson manage to save Iris Bainbridge but Hugo is unable to save Iris's mother, Ava Bainbridge.
24th December - Polly Warcup gives birth to twins, assisted by Maggie Sugden and Rose Haywood. She names the twins Margaret and Rose after them.
