The Woolpack is blown up by Al Chapman.

• 4th January - Liv Flaherty is diagnosed with epilepsy.
• 7th January - Ethan Anderson is arrested after Sarah Sugden plants drugs in his pocket.
• 11th January - Debbie Dingle returns to Emmerdale after learning about her daughter Sarah's drug troubles.
• 14th January - Debbie discovers her boyfriend Al Chapman is engaged to Priya Kotecha. She informs Priya and the pair decide to ruin him.
• 15th January - Lucas Taylor is taken back into care.
• 18th January - Mandy Dingle proposes to Paul Ashdale.
• 20th January - Paul is hospitalized after being beaten up by Connor Chapman. Cain Dingle realises Mackenzie Boyd is trying to sabotage the garage.
• 21st January - Eric Pollard crashes his car whilst taking a pregnant Tracy Metcalfe to the hospital after Cain and Aaron Dingle tamper with the brakes in a bid to catch Mackenzie stealing cars red-handed.
• 25th January - After framing Al for stealing money from Hawksford Outdoor Pursuits, Debbie and Priya confront him for cheating on them both.
• 28th January - Charles Anderson comes face to face with his ex-fiancée "Saira" (really Manpreet Sharma) who left him at the alter fifteen years earlier. Later, Charles' furious son Ethan reveals the truth to Manpreet's husband Rishi Sharma.
• 29th January - Juliette Holliday, the mother of Jimmy King's son Carl turns up in the village asking to see Carl.
• February - Robert Sugden is beaten up in prison. His cellmate, Kev Townsend, retaliates on his behalf and lands himself in a month's solitary confinement.
• 3rd February - Mackenzie blackmails Kim after tricking Jamie into revealing information about Kim's offshore bank accounts.
• 4th February - Jamie nearly sets fire to a barn at Butlers Farm to get revenge on Mackenzie but is stopped at the last minute after discovering Kyle Winchester is inside. Later, Moira Dingle turns up at Home Farm armed with a shotgun and confronts Jamie. That evening, Jamie sleeps with Gabby Thomas.
• 8th February - Dawn Taylor is sacked from the Hide after Gabby plants Bear Wolf's wallet in her bag.
• 11th February - Debbie leaves the village after her ex-boyfriend Al Chapman tricks Debbie's mother Charity into confessing about Debbie's involvement of stealing money from Kim Tate. (Final appearance of Debbie)
• 15th February - Paul arranges to be kidnapped in the hopes that Liv will pay the ransom and he can use it to pay off his gambling debts.
• 18th February - Gabby Thomas discovers that she is pregnant with Jamie Tate's baby following their one night stand two weeks earlier.
• 25th February - Tracy Metcalfe gives birth to a daughter, whom she names Frankie, after her deceased dad. Faith Dingle returns to the village for the first time in 16 months after Moira Dingle finds her with a stolen hearse.
• 4th March - Ellis Chapman and Priya sleep together.
• 5th March - Al learns his son Ellis and his ex-fiancée Priya slept together.
• 8th March - Pregnant Gabby collapses due to hyperemesis gravidarum.
• 11th March - Kim spikes Dawn's orange juice ahead of her meeting with social services but Will ends up drinking it instead.
• 15th March - Dawn regains custody of her son Lucas. Harriet Finch locks herself in the cellar of Woodbine Cottage to punish herself for Malone's death.
• 16th March - Moira learns her brother Mackenzie lied to her about when their mother died and she could've seen her before she passed away.
• 18th March - Mandy and Paul's hen and stag dos take place. Vinny works out Paul faked his kidnapping so Paul beats him unconscious to keep him quiet. Charity sells her half of The Woolpack to Marlon.
• 26th March - Aaron and Sam Dingle kidnap Connor believing he was responsible for Vinny's beating.
• 29th March - Paul discovers the Dingles have kidnapped Connor so he sets him free. Later, Connor reveals to Liv that Paul faked his kidnapping to pay off his gambling debts and Liv realises Paul was responsible for Vinny's beating.
• 1st April - Paul Ashdale dies in a barn explosion caused by Jimmy King's truck crashing into the barn and igniting a gas canister.
• 2nd April - Liv and Aaron Dingle reveal Paul's abuse of his son Vinny to Mandy. Mandy refused to believe Liv and Aaron but when she confront Vinny, she realised the truth.
• 13th April - Kim collapses and spends the night on the dinning room floor.
• 15th April - Paul's funeral takes place. His son Vinny finally admits that Paul was abusing him.
• 22nd April - Mackenzie and Mandy are attacked by Kev whilst carrying out a dodgy business deal but they're rescued when Charity recognises Kev from their teenage years.
• 28th April - Jimmy is charged with death by dangerous driving.
• May - Robert and his cellmate Kev kiss in their prison cell.
• 3rd May - After Moira foils his scam, Mackenzie breaks into Pollard's Barn and steals Brenda Walker's brooch.
• 4th May - Meena ruins Liam's proposal to Leyla after wrongly concluding Leyla is cheating with Meena's boyfriend David. Later, Liam proposes again and Leyla accepts.
• 6th May - Lydia is arrest on suspicion of fraud for running a fraudulent pension scheme.
• 7th May - Manpreet discovers Meena has been texting Ethan pretending to be his mum.
• 10th May - Aaron Dingle is attacked by Eric Pollard with a cricket bat while breaking to Pollard's Barn to return Brenda Walker's brooch which Mackenzie Boyd had stolen.
• 11th May - Eric is arrest for assaulting Aaron.
• 13th May - Frankie Robinson is christened with Cain Dingle and Leyla Harding as her godparents.
• 18th May - Aaron is charged with burgling Pollard's Barn.
• 24th May - After running away from the village, Liv tracks her mum down to a caravan park in Wales and decides to stay with her for a while.
• 26th May - Lydia is cleared of the pension fraud. Samson is suspended from school after threatening the boys who harassed Lydia with a crowbar.
• 27th May - Kim fires a shotgun at what she thinks is an intruder at Home Farm only to then find that the intruder is in fact a newly returned Bernice Blackstock. Also, Kim works out someone has spiked her brandy. (First appearance of Bernice since November 2019)
• 28th May - Kim receives confirmation that she's being spiked with diazepam.
• June - Kev stabs himself in prison to make Robert believe he has been attacked in retaliation for protecting him. He asks Robert to marry him and Robert accepts.
• 4th June - Luke Posner tells his mother Wendy Posner that he was attacked by his brother Lee for being in a relationship with a man. Luke admits to Wendy that he knocked Lee out in self-defence before revealing that it happened on the day Lee was attacked by Robert Sugden and got injuries that later resulted in his death.
• 16th June - Luke leaves the village. (Final appearance of the character)
• 17th June - Leyla Harding and Liam Cavanagh marry. Jacob Gallagher returns from Portugal and proposes to Leanna Cavanagh. She rejects him.
• 23rd June - Having found out that her son Jamie was the person poisoning her drink's with diazepam, Kim and Will Taylor fake her death for the second time as part of a huge revenge plan.
• 24th June - Kim "returns from the dead" and confronts her son Jamie over poisoning her drinks with diazepam. When Dawn Taylor also finds out what Jamie has done, she breaks up with him.
• 7th July - Meena Jutla kills Leanna after Meena confesses to her that she killed her friend Nadine Butler.
• 9th July - Leanna's body is found by Bernice.
• 22nd July - Faith Dingle tells Chas, Cain and Moira that her cancer could have returned.
• 29th July - Leanna's funeral takes place.
• 2nd August - After stealing money from Kim, Jamie leaves the village and moves to Liverpool.
• 3rd August - Faith finds out her cancer hasn't returned, but that she has rheumatoid arthritis.
• 5th August - Jamie returns to the village and teams up with Gabby against Kim.
• 11th August - Liv gets drunk and tries to seduce Jacob, which Aaron walks in on. After Jacob leaves, Liv lashes out at Aaron, saying hurtful things about his relationships with Jackson Walsh, Robert Sugden and Ben Tucker, which pushes Aaron too far and he kicks Liv out.
• 12th August - Liv collapses by Leanna's grave and starts choking on her own vomit, but is found by Ben and rushed to hospital. Aaron later visits Liv and they reconcile.
• 17th August - Leyla finds out she's pregnant.
• 23rd August - Wendy comes face to face with her ex-husband Russ, who blackmails her into helping him retrieve the £50,000 that his deceased mother left Victoria Sugden's son, Harry.
• 24th August - Ethan finds out from Eddy, whom he had a one-night-stand with, that he might be HIV positive.
• 26th August - Nate Robinson proposes to Tracy who says yes.
• 30th August - Tracy runs away whilst suffering from postnatal depression.
• 31st August - Faith tracks Tracy down and convinces her to return to the village. Manpreet Sharma finds out that her daughter Aiesha Richards has been in a moped accident in Ibiza.
• 3rd September - Leyla discovers that she's bleeding and fears that she's losing her baby. Ethan finds out he is HIV negative.
• 7th September - Leyla finds out she's suffered a miscarriage.
• 8th September - Russ takes Wendy and Victoria hostage at the HOP with a gun, unaware that David is also in the building.
• 9th September - Victoria and David try to overpower Russ, which causes his gun to go off.
• 10th September - David is revealed to have been shot by Russ. Victoria knocks Russ unconscious with a fire extinguisher. Russ is arrested and David is rushed to hospital.
• 23rd September - Jamie does a runner from the village and crashes his car into the lake after swerving to avoid hitting Chas Dingle after being distracted by calls from Gabby.
• 24th September - Jamie's car is pulled out of the lake, but Jamie is nowhere to be found.
• 18th October - Meena kills Andrea Tate after she witnesses her attempting to drown Victoria along with confessing to murdering Leanna.
• 27th October - Kim is arrested on suspicion of Andrea's murder.
• 28th October - Gabby gives birth to a baby boy.
• 29th October - Gabby names her son Thomas Tate. After talking Kim into signing over 20% of her assets to Gabby, Diane Sugden leaves the village for Portugal. (Final appearance of Diane)
• 1st November - Whilst robbing Sarah's heart donor's sister Chloe Harris's house, Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd come face to face with Kerry Wyatt, who's working there as a cleaner. (First appearance of Kerry since June 2020)
• 3rd November - Andrea's memorial takes place. Andrea's mother Hazel arrives for the memorial and reveals to Kim that she would be taking Millie home with her as Andrea named her as Millie's legal guardian. Marlon Dingle proposes to Rhona Goskirk.
• 4th November - Rhona turns down Marlon's marriage proposal. Millie leaves the village to live with Hazel in Hampshire. When Hazel and Millie pull into Hazel's driveway, Millie is reunited with Jamie, who's revealed to be alive. (Final appearance of Jamie and last appearance of Millie until 2022)
• 25th November - Ben Tucker finds a video of Meena trying to drown Victoria while trying to find evidence that prove his innocence over bridge collapse a month ago. Later, Meena kills Ben to silence him.
• 2nd December - Liv is arrested on suspicion of Ben's murder and is later charged.
• 6th December - Aaron leaves the village to accompany runaway Adam Barton. (Final appearance of Aaron)
• 25th December - The Woolpack explodes after Al puts a metal whisk in the microwave on a timer and turns on the gas hob as part of his plan to turn the much loved pub into flats. Manpreet and Meena are injured in the blast.
• 28th December - Meena takes Manpreet home from hospital and gives her sleeping pills when she witnesses Manpreet making a cry for help she injects her with drugs.
• 29th December - Meena confesses to Manpreet that she murdered Nadine, Leanna, Andrea and Ben. Vanessa Woodfield returns to the village. (First appearance of Vanessa since October 2020)
• 30th December - Belle Dingle and Kyle Winchester get stranded in the woods overnight. Vanessa and Tracy find out that Vanessa's new girlfriend, Fiona, is the person Nate Robinson slept with several weeks before.
• 31st December - Kyle and Belle are rescued but are suffering from hypothermia and it is unclear whether Kyle will ever wake up again. Billy Fletcher proposes to Dawn Taylor, who accepts.
