13th January - Meena attempts to kill a tied up Manpreet and Vinny who are tied up in a bar via carbon monoxide poisoning by leaving a van running inside with them but they are rescued by Liam Cavanagh who knocks Meena out cold. Manpreet and Vinny then tell Liam of Meena's crimes including Meena killing his daughter Leanna leaving the latter devastated. Meena manages to escape both Liam and the police and Charles Anderson accidentally hits Manpreet with his car instead of Meena.
27th January - Liv is released from prison and reunites with Vinny.
31st January - Rhona Goskirk receives a letter from her ex-husband and rapist Pierce Harris, revealing he is dying and asking her to help him find his son.
8th March - Mandy finds out that Liv and Vinny are already married.
17th March - Meena's plea hearing takes place. Meena pleads not guilty to the murders of Leanna, Andrea and Ben, and pleads guilty to all other charges. Following the hearing, Manpreet suffers a severe panic attack.
21st March - Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk get engaged after proposing to each other at the same time. However, soon after, Marlon suffers a stroke and collapses in Smithy Cottage. He is found by daughter April Windsor and taken to hospital.
8th April - Gabby and Dawn break into Hazel's house where they find a watch belonging to Jamie and realise he is still alive, but decide not to tell Kim Tate.
14th April - Meena is found guilty of Ben, Andrea and Leanna’s murders, stabbed by Carol Butler with a shard of glass, holds Manpreet Sharma hostage for the second time, confesses to Manpreet that she killed their dying father, and is finally dragged away by armed police.
18th April - Meena is sentenced to life imprisonment with a 25-year tariff for each of her murders. (Final appearance of the character)
4th May - Noah steals Chloe's house keys, snoops around her bedroom and steals her journal.
5th May - Jacob Gallagher is accused of stealing Chloe's journal after Noah plants it in his bag. Leyla is revealed to be addicted to cocaine.
9th May - Chloe discovers that Noah has been stalking her after finding private photos of herself on his laptop.
10th May - Noah attacks Chloe after she confronts him over stalking her, but is walked in on by Charity. Faith Dingle is arrested for criminal damage after throwing a dumbbell weight through Amelia and Dan Spencer's window.
11th May - Convinced Jamie has come back to kidnap Thomas, Gabby searches the woods with a shotgun and accidentally shoots someone. Charity discovers Noah has been stalking Chloe. Faith tells Moira Dingle that her cancer is back.
12th May - Gabby and Dawn discover that Gabby has shot Will Taylor. Gabby and Dawn later tell Will that Jamie is still alive. Cain and Chas are involved in a car crash after a car chase with Al, but they are saved by Al. To teach him a lesson for stalking Chloe, Kerry Wyatt pushes Noah into an empty grave.
13th May - Noah is arrested for stalking Chloe after Charity reports him to the police.
17th May - Noah is charged with harassment and breaking-and-entering.
20th May - After noticing a photo of Holly Barton during a meeting with Moira, Suzy confesses to Leyla that she gave Holly money to buy cocaine for her, but Holly bought heroin instead, which resulted in her death.
11th July - Suzy confesses to Vanessa her role in Holly's death in 2016 after Jai and Moira discover Suzy knew Holly after noticing a photo of Holly in Suzy's presentation.
12th July - Vanessa tells Moira about Suzy's role in Holly's death.
19th July - David discovers Leyla's drug addiction after walking in on her about to take cocaine.
21st July - After taking weight gain syrup, Amelia faints whilst holding baby Thomas. Whilst at the hospital, Amelia finds out she's pregnant.
27th July - Charity finds out about Amelia's pregnancy after finding her outside an abortion clinic. Charity is later revealed to be pregnant herself.
28th July - Noah is released from prison. Charity tells Mackenzie that she's pregnant.
2nd August - David is informed that his ex-wife Alicia Metcalfe has been rushed to hospital after falling off a cliff in Portugal. Drug dealer Callum asks Leyla to hide drugs for him.
4th August - Marlon and Rhona's stag and hen do's take place. Matty Barton plants Callum's bag of drugs in Suzy's car and calls the police. Liam and Jacob discover Leyla's drug addiction after Liam finds Leyla unconscious after taking an overdose of cocaine.
8th August - Gabby goes on a date with a man named 'Chris', who's later revealed to be Laurel's boyfriend Kit.
9th August - Leyla finally admits to Liam that she's a drug addict and promises to seek professional help.
10th August - At his stag do, Marlon collapses and is rushed to hospital. Laurel and Gabby discover that Kit has been seeing them both at the same time.
15th August - Charles is found unconscious in the church after an argument with Naomi. Naomi is later arrested on suspicion of assault.
16th August - Naomi is released without charge after Charles admits that he tripped over his toolbox and banged his head.
18th August - Charity suffers an ectopic pregnancy and has a miscarriage.
22nd August - Belle discovers Chas and Al's affair.
25th August - Samson Dingle is revealed to be the father of Amelia's baby. Faith collapses and is rushed to hospital where Chas and Paddy learn her cancer has spread to her brain.
1st September - Naomi is arrested after Nicola believes she was involved in her attack, but is released without charge. Naomi later confesses to Charles that she was present during Nicola's attack. After an argument with Charity, Mackenzie sleeps with a mystery woman.
2nd September - Charles tells Nicola and Jimmy that Naomi was there on the day of the attack.
11th September - Faith lashes out at Cain with a frying pain, confusing him with her abusive ex-husband Shadrach Dingle.
15th September - Kim visits Hazel in hospital after hearing she's been in an accident, where Hazel reveals that Jamie is alive and that he pushed her down a flight of stairs when she tried to stop him fleeing the country with Millie. Kim later reports Jamie for attempted murder.
20th September - Amelia finds out that Dan made Noah break up with her, and later moves in with Noah and Charity.
22nd September - Faith shouts at Kyle, mistaking him for Cain. Billy, Dawn and Clemmie move out of Home Farm after Millie claims Clemmie bit her arm. Faith discovers that she may only have a month left to live.
26th September - Millie leaves the village with Hazel after Hazel is discharged from hospital.
29th September - Liv finds out about Sandra's plan to defraud her and has her arrested.
3rd October - Aaron Dingle returns to the village and attacks Terry Pickforth after witnessing him attack Liv. Liv is rushed to hospital, whilst Terry and Aaron are arrested. (First appearance of Aaron since 2021)
5th October - Mackenzie's mystery woman is revealed to be Chloe, who's later revealed to be pregnant with Mackenzie's baby.
6th October - Tracy Metcalfe returns to the village with her daughter Frankie Robinson. Kerry proposes to Al, who accepts. Faith finds out about Mackenzie and Chloe's one-night-stand. Aaron finds out about Chas and Al's affair.
11th October - Tracy tells Nate that she's engaged to another man. Nicola makes a false complaint to Bishop Grey about Charles.
12th October - The Dingle's organise a special beach day for Faith. Diane Sugden returns to the village. (First appearance of Diane since 2021)
14th October - Cain discovers that Moira knew about Faith's plan to take her own life.
16th October - Kim and Will get married. A storm starts to brew over the village. Harriet crashes and is then crushed by her quad bike, Kim then hits her head on a rock trying to save her after the bike explodes.
17th October - Harriet is revealed to be dead, but Kim survives. Lydia finds Amelia going into labour in a barn. Cows are let loose throughout the village which results in Sam being impaled on a tractor spike.
18th October - Liv and Vinny are crushed and trapped under a caravan when the storm sends it flying.
19th October - Liv dies after her injuries are un-treatable.
20th October - Amelia gives birth to a baby girl. Tracy leaves the village and returns to Nottingham, whilst Diane leaves the village and returns to Portugal.
24th October - Amelia names her daughter Esther Spencer. Samson is rushed to hospital after being found unconscious in the woods by Noah and Mackenzie.
26th October - Cain tells Chas about how Faith really died.
28th October - Faith and Liv's funerals take place. After discovering her plans to move to Leeds and that she's pregnant, Kerry tells Chloe that she's her mum.
31st October - Aaron leave the village after Liv's funeral. Cain discover Chas' affair with Al after he finds her burner phone. Cain tricks Al into meeting him in the barn where he confronts him in gunpoint. The two fight in the barn and then gun goes off.
1st November - Kerry finds Al dead with a gunshot wound in the barn along with Cain who fled the scene. Later, Cain is arrested by armed police for Al's murder.
4th November - Cain pleads guilty of Al's murder but later he confesses to Moira that his son Kyle shot Al.
7th November - Kyle confesses to Amy that he shot Al.
8th November - Nate confesses to Naomi that he slept with Tracy.
9th November - Nicola's attackers trial begins. Amy flees the village with Kyle.
10th November - Moira tells Mackenzie that Kyle shot Al.
11th November - Nicola's attackers are found guilty of grievous bodily harm, except for Naomi, who's found not guilty. Moira leaves the village with Isaac to look for Amy and Kyle in Belfast.
16th November - After failing to manipulate Amelia into giving Esther up for adoption, Samson reports her to social services.
17th November - Chloe and Victoria discover that Al was having an affair and tell Kerry.
18th November - Kerry leaves the village after the discovery of Al's affair to work on a cruise ship.
22nd November - Cain disowns Chas after she confesses that she misses Al.
23rd November - Liam and Leyla decide to end their marriage. Charity finds out about Chloe's pregnancy.
24th November - Mackenzie discovers that Chloe is pregnant with his baby. Mackenzie later proposes to Charity, who accepts. Harry Sugden is rushed to hospital after injuring himself after David leaves him and Theo Metcalfe unsupervised.
27th November - David confesses to Victoria that he put her name down on his speeding ticket form. After confessing the truth to the police, Victoria breaks up with David.
14th December - After being outed by Elliot, Arthur tells Laurel that he is gay. Belle realizes that Chas never ended her affair with Al and later confides in Moira.
15th December - Whilst on a trip away, Paddy takes Chas to the cottage that Al bought for them, revealing that Belle told him about their affair. When they return, the entire Woolpack learn about Chas and Al's affair after Moira angrily confronts Chas, blaming her for Cain's imprisonment.
16th December - After learning Chas drove Aaron out of the village to protect her affair, Paddy furiously tells Chas he wants a divorce and that he's going for sole custody of Eve.
19th December - Esther's christening takes place, which is disrupted by Amy and Charity arguing over Chas and Al's affair. Charity is later arrested for assault after pushing Amy when she makes comments about Noah.
20th December - In order to solve his money problems, David decides to put his shop up for sale. Upon learning Chloe changed her statement about the altercation with Charity, Amy kicks her out.
21st December - Charles buys Harriet's house. Nate discovers that Mackenzie is the father of Chloe's baby.
25th December - Cain receives a visit from Caleb Miligan, his estranged brother, who Faith gave up for adoption, and who Cain has known about for 30 years. Caleb later introduces himself to Chas, just as she sets off Faith's firework.
26th December - Cain tells Moira about Caleb, whilst Caleb tells Chas about his past. Through flashbacks in 1991, it's revealed when Caleb revealed his identity, Cain lied that Faith was dead. After agreeing to let Caleb meet Chas, Cain changed his mind upon discovering Chas was pregnant. Angry, Caleb steals a car and Cain gets in as well, only to be stopped by the police. Cain decides to take the fall, unaware that the car was involved in a bank robbery, while Caleb escapes.
29th December - Kyle runs away from home, but is found by the police. Kyle later confesses to the police that he killed Al.
30th December - After returning to the police station with evidence that he killed Al, Kyle is questioned and released on bail.
31st December - Chas and Charity learn the truth about Al's death. Moira goes behind Cain's back and asks Caleb for help with legal representation for Kyle.
24th January - ITV announced that Emmerdale would move to a permanent 7.30pm timeslot, having aired regularly at 7.00pm in some form since 1977, in addition to replacing the double-bill on Thursdays with one hour-long episode, effective from March. This change came as a result of extending its weekday early evening news bulletin to an hour.
