- 1979 - Susan Armstrong discovers she is pregnant.
- 1983 - Edward Ruskin leaves the village.
- 1989 - First appearance of Ted Sharp.
- 1990 - Frank and Kim Tate discover their barn conversion on fire.
- 1994 - Viv Windsor's ex-husband and Scott Windsor's father Reg Dawson and his gang rob the post office, kidnap Viv and cause an explosion which injures Joe Sugden. Alan Turner is shot during the process.
- 2001 - Cain Dingle slaps Charity Dingle during an argument. Carol Wareing reveals Viv Windsor is 45, not 39 as she claims.
- 2005 - Cain Dingle kills Sadie King's dog, Damon.
- 2012 - Val Pollard returns after three months in Portugal.
- 2021 - After running away from the village, Liv Flaherty tracks her mum down to a caravan park in Wales and decides to stay with her for a while.
