- 1975 - Annie Sugden goes missing.
- 1992 - A gate is left open and Kim and Kathy Tate's ponies escape. A lorry driver accidentally plows into them and one has to be put down.
- 1997 - Kirin Kotecha is born.
- 2006 - Dawn Woods is given a six-week custodial sentence for benefit fraud.
- 2008 - TJ Woods is rushed to hospital, where father Terry is told TJ has E.coli.
- 2009 - During an argument between Maisie Wylde, Andy Sugden and Debbie Dingle, Debbie dunks Maisie in a horse trough. Cain Dingle returns after nearly three years away. Laurel Thomas meets blind conwoman Lizzie Lakely.
- 2011 - Jimmy King remembers it was Kelly Windsor who attacked him and left him for dead.
- 2021 - Jimmy King is charged with death by dangerous driving.

- 2012 - Danny Miller wins 'Best Actor', Jackson's Choice wins 'Best Storyline' and John and Moira's Car Crash wins 'Spectacular Scene of the Year' at The Bitish Soap Awards.
- 2020 - Emmerdale announces their new initiative The Woolpack Sessions, a one-a-week live broadcast on their YouTube channel featuring cast members singing their favourite songs from their living rooms whilst filming has halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
