30 Years of Emmerdale was an hour-long documentary recalling the first 30 years of sizzling storylines on the nation's favourite raunchy rural soap Emmerdale. The special looks back to the early days when characters on the show sat around Annie's table eating breakfast, spent their days with their hands up cows, shearing sheep or plucking geese. These storylines soon made way for sex, intrigue and action, with blockbusting stories that had audiences of up to 16 million tuning in. Graham Clark, a quiet schoolteacher turned serial killer, is remembered along with the endearing love story of Edna and Batley the dog, a plane crash which changed the face of the former village of Beckindale forever, a barn fire that killed Sarah Sugden, Butch Dingle's involvement in a bus crash and the return of bad girl Kim Tate who came back to engineer the demise of husband Frank. Featuring interviews with Shirley Stelfox, Alyson Spiro, Ian Kelsey, Paul Loughran and Kate McGregor.
