Emmerdale history[]
- 1957 - Bernard McAllister is born.
- 1974 - Marian Wilks returns from her cruise.
- 1985 - Donna Windsor is born to Vic and Viv Windsor.
- 1990 - A 14-year-old Charity Dingle gives birth to a son but when the baby becomes distressed, she leaves the hospital believing the baby was dead.
- 1991 - Amos Brearly returns to the village.
- 1998 - The funeral of Vic Windsor takes place.
- 2002 - Zak Dingle leaves Emmerdale in search of the Dingle fortune.
- 2003 - A storm hits Emmerdale. Ashley Thomas and Louise Appleton crash their car in the river when swerving to avoid a fallen tree.
- 2006 - Toni Daggert breaks off her engagement to Paddy Kirk after discovering he unintentionally proposed to her.
- 2007 - Matthew King punches Grayson Sinclair (on the stroke of midnight) after finding out that Grayson's mother Rosemary is to be buried next to his Father Tom's grave.
- 2008 - First appearance of Nick Henshall.
- 2009 - During the countdown to midnight, Ryan Lamb and Maisie Wylde reignite their affair by making out, and are nearly caught by Ryan's girlfriend Katie.
- 2015 - Ross Barton, held at gunpoint by Robert Sugden, confesses to his girlfriend Debbie Dingle that he was responsible for shooting Robert in September. Robert's brother Andy also confesses to his involvement. Debbie is left stunned by the confessions and throws Ross out.
- 2018 - Dawn Taylor collapses. Matty Barton is transphobically attacked by Isaac Nuttall and his friends, who lift his shirt to reveal his binder.
- 2021 - Belle Dingle and Kyle Winchester are rescued after spending the night stranded in the woods but are suffering from hypothermia and it is unclear whether Kyle will ever wake up again. Billy Fletcher proposes to Dawn Taylor who accepts.

- 1941 - Johnny Leeze (Ned Glover) is born.
- 1998 - The Dingles Down Under is aired (despite being released to VHS on 17th November 1997).
