Emmerdale history[]
- 1990 - Lynn Whiteley discovers her husband has been having an affair with Rachel Hughes. Joe Sugden catches his girlfriend kissing her ex-husband.
- 1994 - The fallout from the Plane Crash begins. Kim Tate's caravan explodes. The Woolpack customers regain consciousness.
- 1996 - Albert Dingle and Kenny Dillon are arrested, having been set up by Zak Dingle. Sandra Fowler's boyfriend Rick forces himself into Betty Eagleton's house and tries to force Sandra to return home with him but Sandra's son Biff fights him.
- 2000 - Frankie Smith returns to the village.
- 2002 - Sean Reynolds and Tara Thornfield leave the village. Eve Birch goes to live with aunt Lily Butterfield.
- 2005 - Tom King jilts Charity Tate at the altar after he is shown pictures of her kissing her cousin Cain Dingle.
- 2006 - Alan Turner contacts his son for the first time in years.
- 2011 - Val Pollard forces Michael Feldmann to accept the fact that Eric Pollard did not kill his mother during the plane crash in 1993. Michael ends his feud with Eric and leaves the village.
- 2012 - Jai Sharma attacks Cain Dingle, kicking one of his crutches and standing on his broken leg.
- 2017 - Rhona Goskirk rejects Pierce Harris's marriage proposal. Later, Pierce forces himself on her.
- 2018 - Tom Waterhouse reveals himself to be Joseph Tate, the son Chris Tate. Leyla Harding leaves the village for Greece.
- 2019 - Mandy Dingle returns to Emmerdale for the first time in over seventeen with her son Vinny in tow.
- 2021 - Liv Flaherty is diagnosed with epilepsy.
- 2022 - Cain Dingle abandons Ellis Chapman in the middle of nowhere with no warm clothing or resources for nearly getting his son Kyle Winchester and sister Belle Dingle killed.
