The Addyman family were a family that lived in Emmerdale from 2001 to 2015.
Storylines[]
The Addymans first appeared in the village in 2001. Katie was the first to arrive in the village, when she meets Andy Sugden in detention. Her father Brian Addyman, first appears when he bails Katie out of a police cell after her involvement in a car crash that killed headmistress Barbara Strickland. Katie's estranged mother Caroline first appeared in June 2002 when Katie goes to stay with Caroline after discovering that she is pregnant and boyfriend Andy asks her to have an abortion, despite them planning the pregnancy. Katie suffers a miscarriage and returns to stay with Brian. Katie and Andy reconcile and they get engaged. Caroline returns for Katie and Andy's wedding in 2004.
Brian and Katie are involved in a car crash in February 2006 which kills Brian and Katie is badly injured. After Katie recovers Caroline tries to persuade Katie to move to Greece with her but Katie declines.
Neither of Katies siblings ever appear in Emmerdale.
