Billy Hope was Carly Hope's infant son who died of Sudden Unexplained Infant Death. Billy's father Matt walked out on Carly whilst she was pregnant, but got back in contact when Billy was a month old. Carly told Matt to do one, assuming he would soon come crawling back, but he never did. Only a month later, Carly found Billy dead in his cot.
In 2016, Carly confided in Marlon Dingle about her son, the first person she'd every told. The following year Carly's father Bob learned about his grandson and reassured Carly his death wasn't her fault.
