Bradford is a metropolitan borough of West Yorkshire, in Northern England. It is situated in the foothills of the Pennines, 8.6 miles (14 km) west of Leeds, and 16 miles (26 km) northwest of Wakefield.

- November 1914 - Dot Dingle worked in a factory in Bradford to help out the soldiers.
- 2nd December 1921 - Henry Wilks was born in Bradford.
- 23rd October 1972 - Peggy Skilbeck discovers she is pregnant and asks her husband, Matt, to apply for a job in Bradford hoping they can move away from the farm to the city.
- 6th November 1972 - Matt gets an interview with the factory in Bradford, but he shares his concerns with Peggy of living in the city.
- 13th November 1972 - Matt tells Peggy he won't be going to the interview in Bradford now Joe's been involved in an accident. She isn't pleased.
- 14th November 1972 - Matt goes for his interview in Bradford and is not impressed with factory work.
- 21st November 1972 - Jack Sugden and Matt Skilbeck go to Bradford and buy a landrover for the farm.
- 23rd April 1973 - Henry Wilks visits Buckley Builders in Bradford to organise the building of the pig unit.
- 8th January 1973 - Matt, Peggy and Annie prepare to leave for Bradford to pick up a washing machine. Peggy and Annie want to stay a bit longer to make a night of it, but Matt is forced to tell them he can't as he's meant to be seeing Henry Wilks tonight about a manager's job at Jameson's Farm.
- 24th April 1973 - David Reece finds a piece of pottery. Gwen Russell inspects it back at the millhouse, she thinks it's part of a Bronze Age beaker. Penny Golightly arrives at Emmerdale Farm and asks to use the telephone to ring Bradford University for advice on the piece of pottery. They're invited to the university and set off for Bradford.
- 2nd July 1973 - Simon Trent shares the news that he has been offered a job with the research team of a pharmaceutical firm near Bradford to treat asthma and bronchitis.
- 19th November 1973 - Henry Wilks finds a gold sovereign in his collection and asks Sam Pearson if he has a licence for it. He claims he knew a man who got fined in Bradford for possessing one without a licence.
- 14th January 1974 - Henry arrives back from London after spending the night in a hotel in Bradford.
- 17th June 1974 - Joe and Christine go drinking in Bradford, and come back with interesting gossip about Ethel.
- 16th July 1974 - Diana Prescott moves to Bradford with her husband Franklin.
- 1976 - 1997 - Esholt was used for the village scenes of Emmerdale. It is a small village in the Metropolitan District of Bradford.

- 18th October 2001 - Latisha Daggert makes plans to move to Bradford to be with Paul Cooke.
- 2011 - Roz Fielding leaves Emmerdale for a job at a textile factory in Bradford.
- 16th May 2012 - Megan is tempted when Declan suggests going to see Robbie in Bradford. They sit in the car on Robbie's street and Megan panics when they see him walk past. Megan then tells Declan that she wants to leave. Later at Home Farm, Megan is confused about her feelings as she overhears Declan and Katie discussing the situation. That evening, she posts a letter to her son through his door.
- 10th April 2018 - Charity Dingle tells Vanessa Woodfield that her dad threw her out of the house, and after working her way around family members, she spent her fourteenth birthday in a hostel in Bradford.
