- 2008 - Carrie Nicholls moved to Toronto after being offered a job there.
- 2013 - Nikhil Sharma went to stay there after Gennie Walker was killed by Cameron Murray in a car crash.
- 2015 - Nikhil returned and was joined by his girlfriend Tanya and leaves again because Nikhil's brother Jai blackmailed her.
- 2016 - Nikhil leaves Emmerdale again and goes back to Canada.
