Laurel Thomas, still unnerved by her carjacking ordeal, ran terrified from the courier who arrived at the Sharma & Sharma sweet factory and asked her for assistance in August 2013.
The following day Laurel was walking through the village and became convinced the courier was her carjacker. She got Dan Spencer to apprehend the courier and Bob Hope to ring the police and the courier was arrested. PC Swirling later visited Laurel to say that there had been a mistake, the courier was not her carjacker but a delivery driver who had an alibi for the time of the incident.
