Dale Park Holiday Village (previously Home Farm Holiday Park) was a holiday village opened by Frank Tate in May 1992. In the late 1990s, Frank's son Christopher sold the village to pay off Lady Tara Thornfield's tax bill. However, only a few years later, Christopher and his business partner Rodney Blackstock bought back the holiday park.

Frank Tate made plans for the holiday village in September 1991, allowing more tourists to visit the village. Construction was delayed in January 1992 when a digger accidentally cut a power line, causing an explosion. However, the village was completed and opened later that year.

Frank's son Chris Tate started working there and was invited to be a partner after Frank sold of their haulage company in September 1993.

Behind the scenes[]

  • Rudding Park Holiday Park on the outskirts of Harrogate, North Yorkshire was used as the location of Home Farm Holiday Village on and off between 1992 and 2002. During the construction of the Rudding Golf Club, Yorkshire Television used the site as the main location of the plane crash site in 1993.
