Daniel Hawkins was a cowman at Home Farm from October 1980 to March 1983. Before he left, Daniel was told that he was not just a cowman but a general labourer when his boss Alan Turner wanted him and his co workers, John Tuplin and Jock MacDonald to clear out a lot of rubble from Primrose Dingle. Daniel claimed his back would not take it at his age, and he was a cowman not a navvy. He left Home Farm shortly afterwards. Daniel's eventual successor as the Home Farm cowman was Bill Middleton.
