Denise Black (born 3rd June 1958 in Emsworth, Hampshire) is an English actress and singer who portrayed Joanie Dingle in Emmerdale from August to November 2013 and from June 2015 to January 2017.
Known for her role as Denise Osbourne in Coronation Street between 1992 and 2017, Black has also appeared in Casualty, The Bill, A Touch of Frost, Queer as Folk, Bad Girls, Peak Practice, Clocking Off, Merseybeat, Midsomer Murders, Where the Heart Is, Waking the Dead, Holby City, Doctors, Dalziel and Pascoe, Doc Martin, Benidorm, Unforgotten, Call the Midwife, Father Brown and Grantchester.
