Barton and Dingle Automotives, (formerly Dingle Automotives, Dingle and Dingle, Windsor & Dingle and Windsor & Sugden) is a garage in Main Street which is currently owned by Cain Dingle, with Mackenzie Boyd working as a mechanic.

History[]

The garage dates back to 1998 when Lisa Dingle first set the business up. Previous owners include Scott Windsor and Jack and Robert Sugden. Previous employees include Ryan Lamb, Aaron Livesy and Daz Eden.

In July 2003, Chris Tate in his revenge at Scott, who he thinks raped his sister Zoe, torches the garage. When Scott leaves the village in January 2007, he leaves the garage in the hands of 17-year-old Debbie Dingle. Debbie's cousin Eli Dingle then helped her secure a loan forging Scott's signature to buy the business.

When Debbie was sent to prison for a short time in 2009, Natasha Wylde offers to look after the garage while Debbie is away paid her rent for 6 months. Debbie was soon released and her father Cain Dingle returned from the village after a few years away and bought a share in the garage.

In February 2012, Adam Barton went to the garage looking for employee Aaron Livesy but was provoked by Cain leading Adam to knock him to the ground, pouring petrol over the garage holding a blowtorch to him telling him to apologise. When Cain refused Adam threw the blowtorch and watched the place go on fire. However, he panicked after he realised what he's done and ran out, closing the door, locking Cain in the garage. He came back later and saved Cain from the fire. Aaron then took the blame for it when police investigated and went on run.

Ross Barton was recruited in December 2013 but Debbie fired him after he slept with her mother, Charity Dingle. Cain then re-recruited Ross in January 2014.

On 20th February 2017, Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden held a commitment ceremony in the garage after their Woolpack ceremony got ruined.

In 2018, Debbie hired a man to throw to attack Joe Tate but he accidentally threw acid in Ross' face. Ross used this information to blackmail Cain into handing over the garage to him or he would to the police. When Cain refused he instead settled for a joint partnership, reopening it as "Barton and Dingle Automotives" in July 2018. However, Ross left the village later that year.
