In January 2002, Zak Dingle's cousin Elvis and his wife Marilyn unexpectedly turned up at Zak's home Wishing Well Cottage, with Zak's mother Peg in tow. Elvis and Marilyn left straight after, leaving Peg behind, much to Zak's horror, as he didn't get on with his mother.
By July, Zak had grown tired of his mother's presence, and concoted a plan to return her to Elvis and Marilyn by pretending that she had won a huge sum in a prize draw and recruited Rodney Blackstock as prizegiver. Elvis arrived after hearing about Peg's "windfall". The plan failed, however, when Elvis recognised Rodney from the prize giving photo and realised he'd been conned. Back to square one, they devised another scheme - to fake Peg's death. Zak rang Elvis and told him that his rejection killed Peg. Elvis and Zak's brother (and Peg's elder son) Shadrach arrived for the fake wake and agreed to scatter her ashes. They took the coffin, but were given a huge shock when Peg revealed that she was alive. Furious that they had been duped, they got their own back by giving Peg's ashes to Zak.
In May 2004, Marilyn gave birth to a son, Brando, and in October, Elvis, Marilyn, Brando and their nine-year-old son Daniel attended the party Zak held at Wishing Well to mark ten years of Zak's family living in Emmerdale.
Elvis was mentioned on the day of Cain Dingle and Moira Barton's wedding in May 2014. He found out that a Dingle wedding was going on, and had planned to come until Cain called and warned him and his kids not to step foot near it.
