Emma atkins inside soap

Emma Atkins (born 31st March 1975 in Morecambe, Lancashire) has appeared as Charity Dingle between March 2000 and March 2005 and again from October 2009 to present. This was her first role on British television.

After first leaving Emmerdale in 2005, Atkins appeared in episodes of Dalziel and PascoeMayoI'm with StupidNew Street LawDoctors and Casualty.

On the 19th March 2015, just before her 40th birthday, Emma gave birth to her first child, a son named Albert.

Emma has been nominated for numerous awards for her work on Emmerdale. She was nominated for Best Actress in 2010 and 2018 at the British Soap Awards. On 10th September 2018, Emma Atkins won Best Soap Actress at the TV Choice Awards for her portrayal of Charity. She was also nominated for several Inside Soap Awards.
