Plot[]

Part One: Moira speaks to Cain on the phone as she makes breakfast. After hanging up, Moira suffers another absence seizure and burns her arm on the frying pan. Tom suggests to Amelia that they go on a date at lunchtime and spend the afternoon with Esther. A smitten Amelia agrees. Moira informs Matty the hospital has been on the phone and there's been a cancellation so she can have her operation tomorrow. Moira admits she's scared to go under the knife. Bear reports to Liam that a tap is tripping at Tenant House so Liam decides to get Sam to have a look at it. Mack bumps into Billy as he's out walking with Evan and realises he's planning to fight again. Mack tells Billy it's not worth it. Moira and Matty walk to the field where Holly is buried. Holly's death proves to Moira how fragile life is and she fears the operation could go wrong and leave her kids without their mum. Matty insists if Holly was here, she'd want her to do everything to get herself better so Moira decides to go ahead with the operation. Dawn drops by Home Farm to speak to Kim. Will is annoyed Dawn wants to speak to Kim instead of him and asks if he can help. Dawn admits things are tight financially with having to keep the house warm for Evan and also they need to get a car. Will promises to get her the money. Back at the farmhouse, Matty wants to prepare for Moira's hospital stay but Moira doesn't want a fuss and is adamant no one needs to know about the operation until it's done. Matty refuses to keep quiet, commenting he and Amy don't do secrets like she and Cain do. At that moment, Cain returns home.

Part Two: As Sam tends to odd jobs at Tenant House, Liam talks to him about Samson. Sam wishes he hadn't been in prison himself as then he could fool himself into thinking everything is going to be alright. He believes Samson wants nothing to do with him and he doesn't blame him. Cain wants to know what Moira is keeping secret from him. Moira and Matty reveal Moira had another seizure and burnt her hand but they don't disclose that she's getting her operation tomorrow. Moira quickly turns the conversation to what Cain is doing home. Cain explains Zak was in great form this morning and practically bullied him into coming back. Tom takes Amelia to the pub, explaining the more time they spend there, the more people will get used to him as a couple. Over a pint, Billy explains to Mack that he feels useless with everything that's going on with Evan so fighting is a way for him to escape reality as it's the only thing he was control of at the moment. He begs Mack to keep quiet. After Sam finishes up, Liam offers to buy him a pint but Sam has decided to take Belle out snaring instead to take her mind off things. Whilst Cain is having a shower, his phone rings so Moira answers it and she's shocked by what Debbie tells her. Mack agrees not to say anything about Billy's fights but refuses to let him do this alone so he volunteers himself as Billy's coach. Moira tearfully explains to Cain that Zak has died.
