Plot[]

Part One: April tells Marlon she wanted to tell him about her pregnancy but finding out he had kept how Donna died from her made her decide to keep it secret. Leyla tries to spend time with Jacob again but he is going into town with Sarah. He's puzzled when he brings up her lunch with Suzy and she is oblivious to what he is talking about. Marlon quizzes April on the video he saw of her at the party and she admits she took drugs as she wanted to block the pregnancy out. She tearfully tells him that she wishes she could have told him but she felt hardly noticed what with Leo, Ivy, Rhona's arrest and his stroke and reveals she felt she had to be the strong one. Aaron seeks Ruby out for a chat, explaining he still feels guilty over what he did to Anthony. Ruby tells him it is not his guilt to carry. April explains to Marlon about Becca trying to retrieve her purse and getting stabbed and killed in the process. Marlon realises that she was the girl he had to identify in the mortuary. He tries to find out from April the father of the baby, but she clams up and turns away from him, telling him it was a random lad she met at a party. Charity rifles through things at Home Farm trying to find something on Joe. When Kim arrives back from being with Ice, Charity takes a laptop and leaves. April asks Marlon what has happened to her baby and he surmises the police have taken it away. She worries that Marlon is ashamed of her but he insists he isn't, knowing that she was frightened. She tells Marlon that she can't come home and face people once they know what she's done.

Part Two: News spreads around the village that April has been found but conversation soon turns to speculation as to what sort of state she must be in to be in hospital. Mary breaks the news to Ross that April has been found and he wants to see her as soon as possible. Aaron confides in Ruby about how used to self-harm and that the guilt of thinking he had killed Anthony almost drove him back to starting again. She apologises to him. He tells her that Chas helped him through his ordeal with Gordon and queries whether she has been talking to Caleb. She admits she can't face it as she feels like a victim. Gabby warms to spending time with the Dingles but sneaks off for some alone time with Vinny. Aaron tells Ruby that she is not a victim and she needs to stop thinking that. She admits that she dealt with it all in the past by locking it away but it has affected her relationship with Steph as she has unintentionally ended up pushing her away. Rhona goes in to see April and apologises to her. They hug. Dylan is at the hospital and spots April being consoled by Rhona through the window before leaving. Caleb tries to get Ruby to talk to him when he finds out Aaron has been getting her to open up about Anthony. She feels Caleb is pitying her but he insists he loves her and does not see her as a victim. Marlon worries that April won't be able to heal from her experiences and wonders if she's too damaged to ever be the girl he once knew.
