Plot[]

Part One: April steals a bottle of ketamine from the vets cabinet behind Vanessa's back when she is distracted by Mary trying to make up with her. Liam and Chas make preparations with Belle for their wedding to take place at Home Farm in late May. Liam receives a message from Ella. Cathy informs Brenda that she has decided not to finish sixth form and wants to take a hospitality course instead. Nicola is disappointed when Brenda informs her she intends to go on the cruise alone. Marlon tries to build bridges with April but she isn't interested. Manpreet looks for reassurance from Charles and Claudette that they didn't believe Ella's accusations about her. Billy arranges to do something with the children later in the day and encourages a reluctant Dawn to join them. Kim reminds Dawn that she fell for another man who disappeared when things began to get serious and questions whether she believes that is worth losing her family for. Nicola tries to persuade Brenda to allow her to accompany her on the cruise. Rhona tries to convince Marlon that he needs to get tougher on April. Liam receives another message from Ella pleading with him to believe what she was telling him. He worries about how broken she seems but decides the best course of action is to ignore her. Marlon panics and arrives back home to find April on the floor beside an empty bottle of ketamine.

Part Two: Rhona and Vanessa rush into the room as April reveals she was tricking Marlon to give him a scare, wanting him to know how Dylan must have felt when he planted ketamine on him. Vanessa is horrified as she is brought up to speed by Rhona who believes the situation is rapidly spinning out of control. Jimmy begins to warm to the idea of going on the cruise but Nicola informs him she is now intending to go alone with Brenda. He angrily accuses her of trying to leave him for three months on his own with Rodney and the kids but she insists she deserves the break. Marlon tells April that she is a selfish, spoilt little brat and that he doesn't intend to tread on eggshells with her anymore. She accuses him of only noticing her when she was gone and now feels suffocated. Dawn joins Billy and the kids at the Hide. They agree to put the time in to fix their marriage to Kim's relief. Marlon arrives back home in a panic believing April has ran away again. When April reveals herself to be in the house, Rhona loses her temper and forces Marlon and April to settle their differences and begin working towards trusting each other for the benefit of everyone else in the house. They agree to her request. Liam confides in John that Ella keeps calling and messaging him and he doesn't know how to get her to back off. He encourages Liam to turn his phone off. While April is out of the way, Marlon plants a tracking device in April's coat.
