Episode 10281[]

Part One: With Steph off her food, Caleb suggests to Ruby that they get her to talk to John with him being experience in trauma cases. Charity and Ryan arrange a 'Tacos and Trivia' night at the Woolpack to try and rival the Hide. Gail reveals to Ryan that her friend Fanny has taken over her dad's B&B down in Devon and asked her to run it with her but she has turned it down. She is disappointed when she tries to get Charity to let her come up with some ideas for a theme night but Charity isn't interested. Caleb and Ruby fill John in on yesterday's events and ask him to talk to Steph. Moira finds Tracy accepting a delivery of clothes for Frankie. John tries to make Steph see that surgery is not a solution and she needs to wait until her head is not in such a mess before making a decision. He lunges for her phone when a clinic she has rang call her back and he tells the person on the other end of the line that Steph has suffered recent trauma and is in no fit state to go through with any medical procedures. Ross is puzzled when Joe tells him he saw Steph going into her apartment with Ruby and Caleb last night, believing her to be in Capri. Kim tells Dawn that Billy is trying to get hold of her as Evan is in hospital. Steph realises she's fighting a losing battle when John threatens to get her parents to ring around all the clinics in the country to put them off seeing her and hide her passport to stop her going overseas. Gail tries to come up with some theme night ideas to impress Charity. John warns Ruby and Caleb that Steph has approached multiple clinics for multiple procedures. As Ruby plans to go home, John stops her saying to give her a bit of time to sit with what he's said. When Ruby calls Steph to see how she is, Steph tells her that some of what John said actually made sense and she's just going to try and get some sleep. Once off the phone, Steph begins trashing the apartment.

Part Two: Steph sits alone drinking in the trashed apartment as Ross buzzes for her to let him in. She reveals to him that she was getting plastic surgery to stop her looking like Anthony but her parents stopped her and she needs to fix it. Frankie models her new clothes for Tracy and Moira. Tracy covers that she found an emergency fund that Nate had set up for Frankie a few years ago while boxing up the rest of things, allowing her to pay for them. Dawn arrives at the hospital and Billy tells her how Evan started going red on the way back from London and by the time they arrived in Hotten he had a temperature so he brought him straight to hospital. They agree to pull together to help Evan through whatever is wrong with him. Steph tries to get Ross to help her find another clinic while he tries to talk her into seeing a therapist. She loses her temper, believing he would understand due to the scars he carries on his face, calling him a freak and turning violent on him. Kim finds Joe leaving with a bag and accuses him of running away from Dawn when times get tough. Joe reveals he is taking some fresh clothes for her to the hospital and that he truly cares for Dawn. Steph continues to hit Ross, trying to get him to hit her back but he refuses. Gail is frustrated when she finds Charity has left her to run the pub so she can go shopping and get drunk. Ryan tries to get Charity to listen to some of Gail's ideas for a theme night. Ruby and Caleb fight with their instincts to go home as they leave Steph for a little longer. Steph runs out on Ross and jumps in her car. Ross tries to stop her driving off, but she apologises to him for calling him a freak, saying he is nothing like her and drives off.

Episode 10282[]

Part Three: Joe witnesses Ross tracking down Caleb and Ruby. Ross tells them that Steph drove off with a bottle of vodka. He teams up with Joe to try and find Steph as Caleb and Ruby also begin searching. Having gotten Charity's full attention, Gail inadvertently ends up pitching the taco and trivia night back to her under a different name. An unimpressed Charity tells Gail to come up with something more original. Cain informs Moira that he called Nate the other day and got through to him but all he could hear was him breathing and thinks he answered by mistake. Liam finds John sitting with his feet up at his desk in the doctors surgery and John admits he goes in there sometimes when he knows he's not in. John quizzes Liam when he notices he has been put on the rota for reception shifts again and Liam breaks the news to him that he has only been able to get Claudette to agree to join them part-time. John suggests that, having spoken with Claudette about how much she wanted to join them full-time, she was looking for Liam to flatter her and gets Liam to agree to letting John try his magic on her. Joe and Ross stop in some woods with Joe commenting he's seen Steph in here before. There is no sign of her however. Ruby informs Ross that she has called every clinic in Leeds and none of them have seen Steph. Dawn relays to Billy that Evan will have to stay in hospital overnight but his temperate is stable and they hug. Billy offers to stay the night at the hospital but Dawn insists she will be staying with him too. When Billy asks if there is a small chance of them resuming their relationship, noticing she is still wearing her wedding ring, Dawn tells him that for now they just need to focus on Evan. Tracy hides Frankie's clothes when Cain calls round. He tells her about the answered call a few days ago and suspects Nate has now changed his number as his phone is constantly switched off. Tracy reveals to him that the parcel Frankie received from Nate on her birthday was actually from her and that she has had no contact with Nate at all. She also reveals Frankie broke the present when she threw a tantrum about her dads whereabouts. Ruby and Caleb find Steph sat in her car at the depot, holding a jagged piece of the vodka bottle which is now smashed on the floor. She raises the broken bottle to her face as Ruby and Caleb desperately try to open the locked car doors.

Part Four: Ruby smashes the car window in order for Caleb to grab the broken bottle from Steph. John manipulates Claudette into taking on the receptionist position full-time by claiming how much Liam has told him that he will be lost without her when she's not there. As they get her home, Steph admits to Ruby and Caleb that she was intending to disfigure her face so she would have to get surgery to fix it. Cain is concerned feeling that ignoring Frankie is not Nate's style and plans to track him down in Shetland. Joe gives Ruby and Caleb a name and number of a therapist who specialises in adult trauma who also owes him a favour for Steph. Caleb doesn't trust him and refuses to use it. John calls on Tracy to see how she is. She relays the information that Cain is planning to track Nate down in Shetland tomorrow. Ruby tells Caleb that she wants to go to the police tomorrow and confess everything about Anthony's murder so Steph can see a psychiatrist. Caleb insists that she mustn't hand herself in but agrees they need to get her professional help.
