Plot[]
Annie has doubts about Joe's holiday and Kathy gets ideas of her own. A letter has arrived from Jack. This leads to an argument between Joe and Sam. Sam berates the younger generation saying how Joe and Kathy just go their own way, and Annie tells him they do not need another lecture on the shortcomings of the young, or anything else. Sam also wants to buy some Caraway seeds. Jim agrees not to try and force Martin Gimbel into marriage to Rosemary.
