Plot[]
A hungover Paddy wakes up on the sofa, surrounded by empty bottles of booze. Betty is still enraged by Diane’s allegations and is determined that neither she nor Seth will ever set foot in The Woolpack again. Meanwhile, Diane has suited up in her cleaning gear, determined not to let Betty believe they can’t function without her. Gloria is smitten with Ashley. Carlos cautions Ashley to be cautious. Angie has the locks changed at Holdgate. Gloria and Zoe take care of Paddy. Betty approaches Angie about pressing charges against Diane for defamation of character. With Betty gone, Seth slips over to The Woolpack. Alan demonstrates the paperwork to Seth – the money wasn’t short after all. Cain continues to pester Angie. Diane apologies to Betty and persuades her to resume her cleaning duties at the pub. Pollard makes an offer to buy the Diner from Kathy, which Kathy declines. Jason and Joe make a triumphant return from Venice. Seth returns home to face Betty’s anger. Paddy remains miserable, which prompts Jason to become irritable with him, referring to him as self-pitying. Jason appears to be anticipating his own loss when, in the midst of a row, he discloses to Paddy that Joe’s Visa will expire at Christmas and he will have to return to Australia.
