Plot[]
Diane is facing a crisis as her feelings for Jack grow stronger. She begins to realise that Alan may not be the man for her after all. She confides in Bernice, but she is unable to offer any solutions. Later, Bernice is put in an uncomfortable position when Alan tells her that he is concerned about his relationship with Diane. Diane visits Jack in the hope that they might be able to talk about their feelings for each other, but she is disappointed when he failed to raise the subject. Aware that things can’t go on the way they are, she leaves Alan devastated when she admits that that their relationship is a lie and that she is in love with Jack. Charity is living dangerously, juggling her relationships with Chris and Zoe. Her plans of going away with Zoe are thrown into disarray, when Chris's business meeting is cancelled and he asks her to spend the evening with him. Andy was horrified to discover that Jack had told Diane that he was responsible for starting the barn fire, which killed Sarah. Marlon returns to the village having failed to find Tricia. His day gets worse when he discovered that Kathy employed Carlos while he was away.
