No one can believe their eyes as Terry lies motionless on The Woolpack floor. With the ambulance on its way, Bob shouts for Dawn and she arrives at scene cradling baby TJ. At the hospital, Dawn is forced to make a life-threatening decision on Terry's behalf – whether or not to give him a new drug that could help cure the blood clot that has caused the stroke. The doctor explains the drug is still under medical trial, but that despite the risks, it could improve Terry's state dramatically. After much heart-felt decision, Dawn decides to give the go ahead. As she sobs by his bedside, Dawn tells him everything is going to be all right and tries to convince herself that she has made the right decision. The nurses tell Dawn that if Terry makes it through the night the drugs will be working and the risks of complications will be reduced. Back at The Woolpack, Louise is worried sick about Terry and Ashley is at hand offering support and encouragement while she waits for news of her close friend. Len is taken aback when Pearl is coy about finally accepting a date with him. But as they unearth a few home truths, Pearl admits her flirtatious nature is just a façade and she is really interested in a having a serious relationship rather than just a bit of fun. Robert is treading on eggshells as Elaine expresses her frustrations at not remembering the accident. He knows that it's only a matter of time before her memory comes flooding back. When Elaine asks to see his bruises from the seat belt he quickly steers her off the subject.
