Charity's disheartened when she goes to see her new lawyer, Elaine struggles with the recent revelations in her family and heads to Paul and Siobhan's, and Edna gives Gloria some tough love.

Plot

After examining her case, Charity’s new lawyer informs her that the evidence is stacked against the defence and for a chance they need to pull some new information out of the bag. Disheartened but determined to prove her innocence Charity puts her thinking cap on to find more evidence to build her case upon. Over at the Marsden's, Elaine is finding it tough dealing with the revelations about her father particularly the fact her mother lied for years. When Elaine turns up at Paul and Siobhan’s wanting to stay, Siobhan takes matters into her own hands by calling Frances round so the family can sort out their differences. Frances is grateful to her daughter-in-law when Elaine reluctantly agrees to come back home. MP Gloria faces life without Eric as he can't forgive her for the affair with assistant, Hillary. Edna is forced to pick up the pieces as the fallen politician breaks down on her doorstep. Edna is unimpressed by Gloria's negative attitude, telling her houseguest that's it's about time to buck her ideas up before Steph wins Eric for good. Marlon continues to experience problems in the bedroom department, despite having an elaborate aphrodisiac meal. It seems nothing can distract his guilty mind and Tricia is left frustrated once again.
