Plot[]
At the hospital the doctor informs Steph, Marlon and Zak that Alan is conscious after his fall. Steph is nervous as she visits her father but secretly relieved when he admits that he can’t remember much about the accident. Alan is later brought home and Steph tells her father she’ll look after him because it's her duty but that she hasn't forgotten his cruel words. Steph takes advantage of his immobility and rifles through his wallet, helping herself to cash and credit cards. Meanwhile, Chloe tearfully tells Chas that her date didn’t show up last night, in an attempt to gain attention from her friend. Chloe later goes into The Woolpack wearing a ripped top and lies that she went to see a flat and the landlord was an unsavoury character. Sympathising with Chloe, Chas tells her she can stay with them until she finds somewhere decent to live. Over at The Woolpack, Katie is thrilled when Syd organises her a surprise birthday party. She is grateful to receive gifts from Jack and Donna, hoping this is an indication that the past is now behind them.
