Plot

After dark, Jed the gypsy goes stealing round Beckindale and he's just about to break into Emmerdale Farm when he's discovered by Matt. The next day at the Village Hall, Annie and Mrs Acaster are taking the children through a poem when the peace and tranquility of the village are shattered when someone throws a brick through the window.
