Marlon can’t raise Donna's spirits in hospital and when Ross delivers the news that she's hot gossip at the station, Donna only feels worse. Donna is miserable that Ross can’t bring himself to support her actions over Viv and Freddie and she announces that she’s going to quit the police force. Val suggests some bedroom fun to get Eric's forgiveness for her mystery tattoo and it seems to do the trick. But when the woman she befriended on holiday, Bonnie turns up in the village, Val is terrified about what she will reveal. Bonnie tells Eric that Val didn’t tell her she was married and Eric plies Bonnie with drinks to find out more. Eric invites Bonnie to stay and Val panics that if she did have a drunken one night stand, then the truth may out. Doug learns that Laurel and Ashley are planning a birthday party for Daniel and that Hilary has agreed to come. Doug cheerfully tells his workmates that he’s looking forward to his estranged wife’s return. Lily has a last ditch go at flirting with Doug but he is in no mood for her games. Also, Andy tells a surprised Jo he’s willing to wait to have a baby.
