Jimmy gathers a group of villagers outside [[The Woolpack]], including [[David Metcalfe|David]], and collects Nicola in one of the trucks. Nicola finds out that her trip to a Swiss bank to withdraw Jimmy's millions is actually a haulage trip and she shows her true gold-digging colours. [[Douglas Potts|Doug]] makes a grovelling apology to [[Brenda Walker|Brenda]] following his outburst in the pub. Brenda thinks [[Bob Hope|Bob]] has been avoiding her and she makes it clear that she no longer has feelings for him. [[Jamie Hope|Jamie]] is back in the [[Emmerdale (village)|village]] and advises his dad to go ahead with the sale, but Bob is worried about village gossip and [[Viv Hope|Viv]]'s feelings and tells Brenda that he won't be selling the shop to her. Brenda knows Doug's stirring is to blame and she pours a pint over him. [[Nathan Wylde|Nathan]] asks [[Katie Sugden|Katie]] for her opinion on [[Eric Pollard|Eric]] as the Wyldes need to do business with him. Nathan talks to Eric about filling in the lake and hopes to cut corners with the help of the crafty councillor. Plot

Gennie is upset to learn that Brenda is selling their old home and investing the money in the shop and café. Up at Home Farm, Natasha tells Lee he will be working alongside Sam, who may have a better knowledge of where all the game has wondered off to. The Dingles set off for Debbie's hearing, while Natasha tells Nathan she would love if he could help manage the estate.
