[[Leyla Harding|Leyla]] is still feeling depressed about having no clothes and has started her fund to buy the designer shoes. However, when [[Katie Sugden|Katie]] reminds her she owes money for their bills she's forced to relinquish her savings and is gutted that she’ll never be able to afford anything nice. Later, when she's alone in the [[Home Farm]] shop, she pays a delivery man from the cash box and counts out the £250 she needs to buy her shoes. Unable to stop herself she gives into temptation and pockets the money. [[Michael Conway|Michael]] tells a cynical [[Cain Dingle|Cain]] that he's going to break off his engagement today, but Cain warns him he doesn’t fool him. As a nervous Michael sets off to go and tell his fiancée it's over, [[Debbie Dingle|Debbie]] is worried that she’ll talk him round. He reassures her that he loves her and he's going to come back for her, but Cain is doubtful. Later that evening, Michael arrives back and tells an overjoyed Debbie that he's called off the wedding and they can finally be together. Cain tries to rile Michael again and continues to lay into him, but Debbie warns her dad to back off, determined to make it work. Elsewhere, [[Ryan Lamb|Ryan]] emerges from Katie's bedroom the morning after their date and it's clear they’re both smitten. Also, [[Nikhil Sharma|Nikhil]] continues to play the tyrannical boss in the [[Sharma & Sharma|factory]]. And [[Marlon Dingle|Marlon]] bans [[Moira Barton|Moira]].

At [[The Woolpack]], [[Marlon Dingle|Marlon]]'s throwing another fit over [[Moira Barton|Moira]]'s interference in his kitchen. It seems a stir-fry is too spicy. But is that really where all the heat is coming from? [[Leyla Harding|Leyla]]'s money worries are getting her down. She's a young woman with a good-looking bloke and wants to dress nice for him but her financial commitments leave her with nothing to treat herself with. She's become obsessed with owning a pair of designer shoes but [[Katie Sugden|Katie]] insists she pays her bills first and a frustrated Leyla feels she'll never have the money for little luxuries. Then she finds herself with her hand in the cashbox at the Home Farm shop… Is Leyla about to lose her job for the price of a pair of designer shoes? The closest [[Cain Dingle|Cain]] gets to thinking about footwear is considering putting his boot up [[Michael Conway|Michael]]’s backside. He doesn’t trust the bloke, even when he says he’s going to visit his fiancée to tell her it’s all over. Michael returns that evening, though and tells [[Debbie Dingle|Debbie]] he has called off his wedding. He's all hers! Is he though? Cain's not convinced and Michael should realise that he needs to keep him happy as well as Debbie...

Plot

Leyla is still feeling depressed about having no clothes and has started her fund to buy the designer shoes. However, when Katie reminds her she owes money for their bills she's forced to relinquish her savings and is gutted that she’ll never be able to afford anything nice. Later, when she's alone in the Home Farm shop, she pays a delivery man from the cash box and counts out the £250 she needs to buy her shoes.
