Plot

Ashley is on the verge of cracking when there is an unwanted interest from the villagers in his sanity. Edna heads round to Mulberry Cottage with Sally and suggests to him that he see that the village has its Christmas, but Ashley loses his temper. At the pub, Sally vehemently defends Ashley before storming out, followed closely by Doug, who calls her a hypocrite for defending him despite causing all the problems in the first place.
