Plot
A curious Katie attempts to speculate with a nonchalant Ryan about Maisie's disappearing act the previous night. Natasha, however, interrupts the conversation and insists that the pair have a drink. Later, as they make to leave, Katie sends Ryan to collect her jacket from the office and Maisie slopes in behind him, closing the door. As Maisie moves closer, Ryan's clearly on-edge but temptation soon gets the better of them and he kisses her passionately. Zak's bemused to hear Lisa refer to Nikhil as tight-fisted, considering the money for Belle's laptop supposedly came from a work bonus. Sensing her guilt, Zak questions Lisa and she's soon forced to admit that she's been posing nude for the extra cash. Stunned by the revelation, Zak questions Lisa's honesty but she's quick to defend her dignity and harshly remarks that someone had to put presents under the tree. Remorseful, Lisa tries to apologise but a subdued Zak admits that he wants to be the only one to see her in all her modesty. Elsewhere, Carl's wary when Cain and Charity turn up at The Woolpack. He assures Chas, though, that he'll behave and decidedly congratulates them on their engagement. Cain offers his hand and swallowing his pride, Carl firmly shakes it. Relieved, Charity and Chas are amused by their alpha-male behaviour.
