Plot[]

Ryan's keen to stay away from Maisie on New Year's Eve but is put out when he fails to persuade Katie to go to Sheffield with him for the night. In the pub, Maisie's in a vile mood and seethes when Katie confides that she's going to ask Ryan to move in with her. Katie's delighted when Ryan says 'yes' but it's clear that he's all too aware of Maisie's presence. As Katie goes to get celebratory drinks, Maisie accuses Ryan of moving in just to prove a point. Ryan's left in turmoil as she storms off. Meanwhile, Val and Viv rope Jamie into sampling the new restaurant menu at the B&B, while Brenda keeps up her end of the bargain and drags Gennie along. Brenda slyly ensures that they're sat on a table together and by the time the meal has finished, the pair begin to relax. Elsewhere, Natasha's disgusted when Nikhil flirts with her in the pub and she's grateful when Diane saves her. When Diane comments on Natasha's marriage being picture perfect, she confides in her about Mark's affair all those years ago. Natasha insists that they've moved on and states that she feels like she can finally trust her husband again. However, she's completely unaware about what's going on right under her nose.
