Plot
Unable to sleep in the same bed as Carl, Chas has spent the night on the sofa and hides her bitterness towards the man she once loved. Charity urges Chas to wait this one out and make them suffer. Later, as the village bonfire gets under way, Eve is furious to find that toffee has been dumped in her hat and is now hardening in her hair. With poor Jacob in the firing line for the commotion, Alicia jumps to her son's defence and a row ensues. As Chas feigns concern, it becomes clear Jacob isn't the one responsible for the mishap and she takes great delight in watching Eve tug a comb through her hair. Chas clearly has a taste for revenge and next time promises no petty prank - she's upping her game and Carl is next. Meanwhile, as Moira seeks normality for her family, she insists they all attend the village bonfire and rally round Holly for support. Holly takes advantage of the disregarded remnants of wine dotted around and it's not long before it's had an impact. Slurring her words to a concerned Adam, she begs him to score for her, making it clear that nothing else in the world matters to her. Elsewhere, Aaron fails to keep his composure as he's shown the ropes on caring for Jackson.
