Plot
Rodney and Edna are worried after having no luck finding Ashley. When Rodney continues the search, he eventually finds the ex-vicar rummaging in a bin. Rodney is horrified at what his friend has become. When the pair talk, Ashley admits that he has been sleeping rough. Rodney is adamant that Ashley should come home with him. Ashley realises that Rodney isn't going to leave, so he asks him to go and get him a sandwich. He waits for Rodney to leave before walking away. This means that Rodney is forced to return to the village alone. Nicola advises Rodney that he should tell Laurel about Ashley living on the streets. Later, Rodney breaks the news to Laurel and Sandy, who are both shocked. Meanwhile, Alicia's hen party takes place at The Woolpack and the girls are all dressed as the bride-to-be. When Alicia drinks too much, she ends up spending the evening being sick in the toilets. David later arrives and takes a drunken Alicia home. Soon afterwards, Pollard tells a shocked Brenda why he disapproves of the wedding, explaining that David is only marrying Alicia so that Jacob can stay living with him. Elsewhere, Cameron is full of guilt as he spends his last night with Debbie, while Chas leaves letters for her loved ones and can hardly believe what she is going to do.
