Plot[]
Part One: Lydia is still waiting to hear from Beth and thinks she must need more time. Mandy decides to take matters into her own hands. Cain tries to talk to Charity hoping that she's calmed down but she hasn't and reiterates she doesn't want him anywhere near her or the kids. He asks Chas to look after Kyle for him and leaves him with Kerry when she refuses. Mandy goes to see Beth and tells her that she will either come to see Lydia with her voluntarily or she will drag her there by her hair. Arthur convinces Laurel to give him the day off school. He wants to sit with her but she says she is too busy and gets him to play with Archie. Laurel worries to Jai that how they left things with Jimmy might cost her friendship with Nicola and wants to try and sort things out with them. Mandy brings Beth into the café to meet Lydia and Sam. Sarah is angry with Charity when she finds out that she has told Cain to keep away from them. She tells her that she can't control who she can and can't see and reminds her that she has just been involved in a casino scam herself. A resentful Beth tells Lydia that her parents spent their time looking for her, even after she changed her name and explains how Agatha was so happy at finally finding her when she saw the newspaper article that it made her feel like second best. She tells Lydia that their father died a few weeks before their mum. Sam suggests that Lydia can visit their graves but Beth notes that they were both cremated. Gabby informs Leanna and Dee Dee that she thinks Liam is struggling with the wedding plans and hasn't made a start on anything. Sarah meets Danny in the cemetery and they kiss. Charity presents Chas with a rota that will prevent either of them having to work alongside each other. They argue and Chas is left annoyed as it will affect her looking after Eve.
Part Two: Lydia, Mandy and Sam offer to be there for Beth to support her through losing both her parents and invite her into the family. Beth doesn't want to be part of the family however and reveals she wouldn't be here now if Mandy hadn't bullied her into it. She tells Lydia that she doesn't want anything to do with her and storms out. Lydia, Mandy and Sam go after Beth as she exclaims that she's always hated Lydia and feels she ruined her life with her parents constant searching for her. Mandy is suspicious when Beth receives a call from someone and feels she is hiding something. Beth gets on the bus back home and threatens them with the police if they try and follow. Leanna, Gabby and Dee Dee get Liam to admit he's struggling with the wedding planning and hasn't even made a start yet. They offer to help him on the condition that he gets Bernice to stop mapping out what they get to wear. Chas overhears Aaron turn down another job when Cain broaches an idea to him. As Cain gets drunk in the Woolpack, Kerry gives him a piece of her mind about him not collecting Kyle and stating he is now with Belle. He calls her a skanky tart. Laurel tries to sort things out with Jimmy and Nicola as she meets them in the café with Jai. The conversation soon goes awry when Jai tries to get Jimmy to admit to causing Archie's bruises and Nicola and Jimmy both walk out again. Mandy relays her suspicions about Beth to Vinny. Vinny informs her that he has been doing some digging online and discovered that Beth's father wasn't cremated, he was buried in the local cemetery and that he couldn't find any reference at all to her mum's death. Chas tries to talk some sense into Cain but he tells her he doesn't need her or anyone. Mandy and Vinny return to Beth's house. Mandy wants Vinny to break into the house via an upstairs window to search for evidence on what Beth is hiding while she goes round the front to distract her. Arthur loses patience with Archie who is playing a game on Laurel's phone and snatches it off him before stamping on it. He then blames the incident on Archie, saying he got frustrated with the game when he couldn't play it. Mandy is forced to hide when Vinny makes a noise trying to get up the drainpipe. The noise brings Beth and Agatha out of the house and Mandy overhears them talking and Beth calling her 'mum'.
