Plot[]

Part One[]

Matty isn't convinced when Moira claims she has a plan to win Cain round. Amy and Victoria decide to go into Hotten with Harry to do some shopping. Nicola speaks on the phone to a drunken Bernice who informs her that she and Liam have broken up. Due to a bad line, she is unable to hear the reason why. Dawn buys some chocolates for Lucas ahead of his visit next week. Leyla tells Priya that Liam has decided to tell Bernice about their kiss. Priya realises Liam misinterpreted what she said to him, She encourages Leyla to admit her feelings to Liam. Nicola and Jimmy break the news to Gabby that Liam and Bernice have broken up. Moira presents Cain with freshly ironed clothes for the kids when he arrives at the farm. She has also cleaned the place to try and prove to Cain that she is not struggling. Victoria asks Aaron if he wants a cuddle with Harry in front of Chas but he avoids doing so. Dawn breaks the news to Harriet about Lucas' forthcoming visit. Harriet worries about having to break the news to the new bishop that the church roof needs repairing again, having heard she has the reputation of not being a nice person. Moira arranges to meet Cara but is surprised when Nate turns up instead, revealing he knows she is trying to turn his mother against him.

Part Two[]

Cain witnesses Moira and Nate exchanging words. Moira tries to explain to Cain that she was trying to get rid of Nate and tries to get him to let her see the kids again but he refuses. Nicola, Gabby and Leanna invite Liam over, preparing to lavish sympathy on him over his breakup with Bernice. Thinking they know the full story, Liam makes reference to his kiss with Leyla causing them all to be furious with him. An upset Moira returns to the farm and pours herself a glass of wine before tipping it down the sink. The new bishop arrives to meet Harriet and breaks the news that she is looking at closing some of the smaller churches. She is unimpressed when she sees the estimate for fixing St. Mary's Church roof and floats the idea of relocating Harriet to a parish in Essex. Gabby warns Liam that he better prepare himself to move out before Diane returns unless he intends to try and win Bernice back. Chas confides in Liv that Aaron has been avoiding holding Harry and believes he is still struggling with losing Robert. She wants them both to find a way to get Aaron to realise that Robert is gone before he ends up bitter. Liam stands Leyla up whilst trying to explain things to Nicola, Gabby and Leanna. Leyla confesses her feelings to Liam when she bumps into him but Liam insists he can't deal with her right now. Moira packs away the Christmas decorations and notices one of the children's toys. She turns back to her wine bottle, drinking it this time. Gabby and Leanna give Liam an ultimatum - either he stays away from Leyla and gets back together with Bernice or they will tell Diane and he will have to move out. Matty finds Moira drinking and reveals he has spoken to Nate. They argue and Matty accuses her of driving everyone away. Moira throws the wine bottle at him before chucking him out.
