Plot[]
Part One: When Rhona brings over Johnny's legal guardianship documents, Charity's hurt. As Rhona continues to interfere with her and Vanessa's life, Charity acts distant. Dawn's hostile towards Will, fearing that his lies may have endangered Lucas. Billy's worried when he sees how much Dawn's words have hurt Will. Arthur's confused when he comes downstairs to find PC Swirling at the front door. Nicola defends Laurel when Rishi demands Arthur is punished for the fire. Archie's guilt turns to terror when he's told there's a cop car outside Mulberry. Arthur is hurt when Laurel and PC Swirling refuse to believe his innocence. Jai walks in with Archie, who confesses that he lied about Arthur pushing the cabinet onto him. Arthur says this is the reason he started the fire. Fearing that he's lost Harriet, Will swears on his family's life that he won't lie again. In light of this, Harriet agrees to give him one final chance. Laurel's horrified when Archie admits to everything. Laurel's left reeling as Arthur storms out and screams at her that she refuses to listen and believe him. In The Woolpack, Nicola and Jimmy talk about how Arthur and Laurel must be feeling. Wendy tells Bob how she wishes she could get Luke and Victoria together again as they are perfect for each other. Rhona and Charity argue over Johnny's guardianship while an anxious Vanessa watches on. Laurel finds an angry Arthur by Ashley's grave. She's left shocked when he says that Ashley would be ashamed of her. Vanessa's shocked to discover that Charity did in fact want to be Johnny's guardian.
Part Two: Worried, Vanessa tells Tracy about Charity's row with Rhona. Despite Rhona and Tracy's attempts to cheer Vanessa up, she's gutted. Will asks Cain for his job back, but when he eventually agrees, he makes it clear that he'd better not cross him again. When Charity and Rhona are clearing the air, Charity expects Rhona to snap, but is surprised when she's genuinely upset. After working it out, Charity's eager to get to Vanessa at the hospital. Will tells Harriet he'll make it up to her, but he's gutted when she gets upset about him still being paranoid about Malone. Harriet's anger leaves Will looking like he's about to cry. When Charity and Vanessa return home, they tell Tracy and Rhona their news about Charity adopting Johnny. They're all left worried when Vanessa runs upstairs feeling sick. Billy notices that extra locks have been put on the door at Woodbine. He's shocked when Will reasons that he wants to be one step ahead of Malone returning.
