Plot[]
Amelia comes down to find an embarrassed Dan. She tells him that she doesn't want to go to school and that she'd much rather stay there to look after him. Dan pleads with her to go and she leaves. Chas comes downstairs to find Paddy, who is deep in thought about Kirin. Chas thinks that they should let Charity get Kirin out of their lives for good. Charity enters and argues with Paddy, who threatens to phone the police. A hungover Will is winding up Dawn, who goes upstairs to wake Lucas up. After he berates Harriet, she tells him to cut the jokes and say sorry to his daughter. Paddy is trying to justify his decision in letting Charity take Chas's money to pay off Kirin. He admits to Marlon that he's conflicted; it's been his dream to see Kirin properly pay for what he did. Charity tells a discerning Tracy that she's managed to raise enough money to nearly pay off Kirin. Priya offers to act as broker, but Charity is clear: she's doing this on her own. Will apologises to Dawn for his behaviour in front of the social worker. To make it up to her, he offers to take them away to Whitby. Dawn's unsure when Will lies and says that Harriet's too busy to come along. Charity is unapologetic when Kirin asks for the rest of the money. He surprises her by getting tough and demanding the whole £15,000. Kirin tries to get Charity to give him her car keys as compensation for the missing money. Tracy arrives and Kirin spooks on spotting the police. As he flees, he reminds them that their betrayal won't be forgotten. Marlon tells Paddy that the village is full of coppers. Chas enters and Paddy is forced to tell her that he called the police, leaving her anxious about Charity's safety. Dan surprises Amelia, who is trying to hide a school letter. He suggests that she moves in with Daz, but she refuses, preferring to stay with her dad. As she leaves, we see that she is overwhelmed by stress. Charity is livid that Paddy called the police and accuses him of not caring about Vanessa. She admits that Kirin got away with the money, leaving Paddy worried. An angry Chas asks him to leave. Dawn's upset and disappointed when Harriet reveals that she didn't know about the holiday Will's planned. Harriet - hiding her hurt feelings - pretends to be fine with the idea of them going away without her, but when she leaves the room we see that she's deeply wounded. Paddy is on the phone to Marlon when he spots an injured Kirin. Paddy refuses, but as he turns to walk away he phones for an ambulance and the police.
