Plot[]
Rishi heads to collect Manpreet's Christmas present. Before he sets off, Manpreet informs him that she's entered the postcode for the shopping centre into his sat-nav and put his pills in the glove compartment, unaware that Meena has tampered with both. After Rishi has left, Manpreet notices her phone is missing. In The Woolpack, Chas and Paddy invite Aaron and Liv over for Christmas. Marlon not so subtly tries to wrangle himself an invite too but neither Chas nor Paddy bite. Paul is determined to get money together so Mandy can do everything she wants this Christmas. Vinny worries he'll turn to gambling again but Paul assures him he's looking for legit work and has asked Aaron to keep an eye out for him. This doesn't alleviate Vinny's fears but Liv questions why Paul would lie when he can check up on him at any time and urges Vinny to give his father the benefit of the doubt. Brenda is refusing to return to the café until Nicola steps aside which Nicola refuses to do. Jimmy tells Nicola that she and Brenda need to find a way to get along. Manpreet worries as Rishi should've been home by now and she can't call to check on him as she still hasn't found her phone. Meena uses her sister's vulnerable state to suggest they put things behind them and make up. Meanwhile, Rishi sits slumped over his steering wheel having come off the road and crashed. When Rishi comes around, he leaves Manpreet a voicemail explaining she set the sat-nav wrong, he ended coming off the road, and now his car won't start. On top of all that, his heart pills aren't there. Vinny heads to the scrapyard to check up on Paul and witnesses Connor Cooper 'offering' Paul work. It's been hours since Rishi left and a worried Manpreet wonders if she should go looking for him but Meena tries to talk her out of it. Paul meets up with his fellow gambler Connor outside Wishing Well Cottage where he tells Connor his performance at the scrapyard was perfect. He explains he's told his family he's given up gambling so they might need to pull this stunt again whenever he needs a cover story for his winnings. A worried Manpreet asks Priya if she's heard from Rishi. Priya hasn't. Meena suggests Rishi could've gotten lost whilst taking a detour to avoid the accident on the ring road so Priya instructs Manpreet and Meena to check the roads whilst she checks the shopping centre. Dawn is still feeling under the weather whilst Harriet is struggling to hold things together. Eric is shocked to learn David dumped Meena after talking to Manpreet and questions if his son can't think for himself. Meena finds Rishi. A grateful Rishi tells her she's saved his life but questions how she managed to find him here. Marlon continues to drop hints about being invited over for Christmas dinner until Chas finally puts him out of misery. When Meena returns home with Rishi, Manpreet thanks her for saving Rishi and apologises for ruining things between her and David. Once Rishi and Manpreet go upstairs, Meena throws Rishi's pills in the bin and deletes a postcode from Rishi's sat-nav as well as the voicemails Rishi left Manpreet.
