Plot[]

Part One: Amy has lied to the police about yesterday's altercation with Charity in order to get Charity into trouble. Chloe feels guilty for the lies but Amy tells her she needs to decide who's side she's on. Meanwhile at Jacobs Fold, Charity is stressed as she's facing prison as a result of Amy's falsehoods and she can't see Chloe going against her sister and telling the truth. Chas feels her life is spiralling out of control and she worries what she's going to tell Eve about why Paddy has moved out. At Smithy Cottage, Marlon informs Paddy that he can stay as long as he wants but advises him he'll need to start making decisions soon. A glum David stares at the "For Sale" sign outside the shop. Leyla is also feeling down as she's received a letter informing her Liam has started divorce proceedings. It seems bad news comes in threes as Suzy has just learned she's being evicted. Marlon calls by the pub to collect some clothes for Paddy. Ethan informs Marcus that Greg has been suspended pending investigation. Marcus worries the impact making allegations against Greg will have on Ethan's career so tells his boyfriend not to do this for his sake but Ethan believes it is the right thing to do. Mack meets up with Chloe and urges her to change her statement as Charity could end up in prison because of Amy's lies.

Part Two: Chloe tries to persuade Amy to change their statements but a vindictive Amy refuses. Ethan and Marcus are fed up of their messy housemates and are hopeful they'll be able to get their own place soon. Leyla offers to let Suzy move into Tug Ghyll. Chas calls Paddy to the pub to talk. She hopes they can put making any big decisions off until after Christmas when they're less emotional, but Paddy makes it clear he's not going to change his mind about the divorce or going for full custody of Eve. When Chas brings up talking to Eve about Paddy staying at Marlon's, Paddy reminds Chas she's the guilty party and suggests she's the one who moves out. Charity receives a phone call informing her the case against her has been dropped as Chloe has changed her statement. She gleefully informs Amy of the news. The closing down sale has begun at the shop. Eric hopes this could be the making of David and tells his son he's proud of him. Afterward, David promises Victoria she'll be the first person he pays back when he sells the shop. When Chloe arrives home, Amy has a go at her for betraying her. Chloe states all she did was tell the truth. David informs Leyla he's decided to sell the house as well as the shop. Plus, on top of everything else, he's going to lose his driving licence for six months. Chloe attempts to justify her decision to change her statement but a furious Amy doesn't care for her explanations and tells her pregnant sister she should move out. Chloe puts on a brave face, but she's devastated.
