Plot[]
Part One: A drunken Paddy has spent the night on the sofa in the pub backroom. Bear delivers Christmas cards that Faith wrote before her death. At HMP Hotten, a guard hands Cain a letter. Cain rips the envelope in half and throws it in the bin without reading it. Jimmy learns Liam is planning to spend Christmas alone so he invites him to have Christmas dinner at Victoria Cottage. Presents have been dropped off at the farm for Kyle and Isaac. Moira wonders who they're from. Kyle believes they must be from Cain. When Chas drops Eve off at the pub, Paddy tells his estranged wife she only gets to see Eve when he says so. Chas insists he can't do that; it's Christmas so she's going to spend time with Eve whether he likes it or not. Paddy reminds Chas he was going to take Eve and run off with Al so now she gets to see how it feels. Ethan and Marcus help Charles and Manpreet move their belonging into Woodbine Cottage. Manpreet's alarmed to learn Charles and Ethan don't usually have a Christmas dinner as Charles is too busy with church duties so she enlists Marcus to help give Charles and Ethan a proper Christmas. Bob wants Cathy to work in the café over the Christmas holiday so he can keep an eye on her but Cathy refuses and storms out. David informs Leyla that Eric has arranged for them to spend Christmas at a hotel. Leyla realises she isn't invited so lies she's spending the day with Suzy. Chas informs Paddy she's going to spend the night at the pub in Faith's old room so she can see Eve on Christmas morning. Paddy insists it's not happening. Moira and Kyle visit Cain in prison and asks him about the surprise delivery. The gifts aren't from Cain but he pretends they are.
Part Two: Marlon tries to make Paddy see Eve needs her mum. Marcus asks Bob if he can borrow a table and chairs from the café for Christmas dinner at Woodbine Cottage. Bob agrees, but Jimmy offers him some garden furniture instead as it's bigger. Cain informs a prison guard he needs to make a phone call. Chas drops a Christmas Eve box off at the pub for Eve. Whilst there, Paddy thanks her for looking after Eve last night. Leyla waves Suzy off as she heads to her parents' house for Christmas. Rishi is feeling down as he'd planned a big family Christmas but Jai and Laurel want to spend the day alone. When he bumps into Liam in Main Street, Rishi insists he to join him, Priya, and Amba for Christmas dinner. Liam doesn't argue, despite previously accepting Jimmy's invitation. After putting Eve to bed, Chas again broaches the subject of her seeing Eve on Christmas morning with Paddy but Paddy remains adamant that she should stay away. Chas protests that it's Christmas, but Paddy states it's also their wedding anniversary. Chas argues that he can't stop her seeing Eve. Paddy again reminds Chas that she was going to run off with Al and he wouldn't have gotten to see Eve on Christmas Day. He informs her they're going to have a nice, quiet Christmas and she's not invited. At the prison, a worked-up Cain argues with someone over the phone. He demands the person stop sending him letters and stay away from his family. The person refuses so Cain orders them to come to the prison on Christmas Day and they'll sort things out face-to-face.
