Esther Alison Spencer is the daughter of Amelia Spencer and Samson Dingle, born when both of her parents were just sixteen years old.
Biography[]
2022 to present: Conception and birth[]
Esther was conceived in early 2022 when her fifteen year old parents Amelia Spencer and Samson Dingle attended a party and had sex. In July 2022, Amelia found out she was pregnant when she was taken to hospital after collapsing while holding baby Thomas Tate in her arms.
Amelia began visiting her friend Noah Dingle in prison and confided in him that she was pregnant. Initially unsure what she wanted to do, Amelia was spotted by Noah's mother Charity Dingle outside the clinic. Amelia told Charity that she was with a friend who was unsure whether or not to she wanted to keep her baby, but Charity saw through this lie and eventually Amelia came clean. After a heart to heart, Charity went with Amelia into the doctors' office while they discussed what Amelia was going to do; however Charity was shocked to discover how far along Amelia was in her pregnancy and informed her that a termination would now be a medical procedure. Amelia didn't divulge the identity of the baby's father, although assured Charity that it wasn't Noah, also insisting that the sex was consensual.
Amelia decided to keep the baby. When Noah was released from prison, he continued to support her and the pair began a relationship. Amelia was still reluctant to say who the father of the baby was but Noah reassured her that he would raise the baby as his own. Samson began teasing Noah about how close he and Amelia were. After an argument, Noah accused Samson of jealousy. Samson fired back that he wasn't jealous because he had already had sex with her, inadvertently outing himself to a shocked Noah as the baby's father. Samson was stunned to find out Amelia was carrying his child and confronted her, instructing her to have an abortion as he already had plans for his future that didn't involve a baby. He was surprised to learn Amelia had already had a scan and felt the baby kick. The argument caused a huge scene between the pair and Noah, resulting in Amelia blurting out she was pregnant to everyone in earshot. Initially Amelia's father Dan believed Noah was the baby's father but was shocked to learn that it was Samson. Samson's father Sam insisted that he needed to face up to his responsibilities and be a dad once the baby was born.
Esther was born on the 7th October 2022 when Amelia went into labour in a barn in the middle of a freak storm. Sam's wife Lydia found her and took her to hospital. With Dan not answering his phone, Charity managed to find Amelia's former step-mother Kerry Wyatt to help Amelia through. Amelia gave birth to a baby girl with Charity, Noah and Kerry at Amelia's side. She named her daughter Esther, meaning "Star". Meanwhile, Samson had gone missing during the storm - Noah later found him unconscious under a bridge and he was rushed to hospital. Sam and Lydia encouraged Samson to meet his daughter and he agreed. Alone in the room with Esther, Samson told his baby daughter that he was only there because he was forced to; that he doesn't want to be her dad and won't let her ruin his life.

- Esther was portrayed by Lily Fouassier in Episode 10083/10084 (5th September 2024) in flash-forward scenes in which Belle King imagined what the future may look like if she kept quiet about the abuse she experienced at the hands of her husband Tom.
